Austin Warehime
Austin Warehime, also known as the Guernsey County Attorney, brings both a sharp legal mind and a compassionate heart to his work, always prioritizing his clients’ best interests. Austin represents individuals in Ohio, focusing on landowner representation in oil and gas matters, business and corporate law, complex litigation, personal injury, real estate transactions and additional legal services to meet the diverse needs of Southeast Ohio.
Biography
Austin grew up in eastern Guernsey County and graduated from Buckeye Trail High School in 2013. In 2016, Austin then obtained his BA in History from Ohio University Eastern Campus. Austin attended law school in Nashville, Tennessee, at Belmont University and graduated in 2020. Austin spent several years practicing in Nashville and Cincinnati focused on civil litigation and environmental law.
When Austin was in high school, Austin golfed and participated in 4-H. During high school, Austin worked up the courage to ask the homecoming queen and valedictorian of his class to be his girlfriend. Lynsey said yes and they are now married and had their first baby in 2024, a boy named Indie.
During college, Austin accomplished his childhood dream of making a college golf team. While at Ohio University Eastern, he also discovered that he enjoyed classes that discussed law and policy. With that insight, and some encouragement from close friends, Austin signed up for the LSAT and set his sights on law school.
Although Austin and his family enjoyed their time in the big cities, they returned home to Guernsey County in the fall of 2024 and are excited to be back in Eastern Ohio. Austin is excited to serve the community that helped raise him.
