An Act of Care

Estate planning is not about how much you have. It is about who you love—and what you want to make easier for them.
For Siphokazi “Sippie” Lali, the best legal representation begins with education.
“My role is not simply to prepare documents or tell clients what they should do. It is to help them understand their options so they can make decisions that are right for themselves and their families.”
Sippie understands that every client’s circumstances are different. She takes the time to listen, ask thoughtful questions, and explain the law in a way that makes sense. Her goal is to guide clients through the legal process with greater clarity, confidence, and peace of mind.
Why estate planning matters to Sippie
Estate planning touches every person and every family, but many people do not learn about it until they are grieving, overwhelmed, and facing unfamiliar decisions.
Sippie’s passion for this work comes from personal experience.
When her father passed away without an estate plan, Sippie and her family were left trying to understand the legal process while coping with their loss. Despite her educational background, she found the terminology, procedures, and decisions difficult to navigate.
That experience changed the direction of her career.
“I became a lawyer because I wanted to give people what I wish my family had during that time: knowledge, understanding, and someone who would take the time to explain the path forward.”
Sippie believes a thoughtful estate plan is one of the greatest acts of care we can give the people we love. Although we cannot prevent our families from experiencing loss, we can provide them with clarity, direction, and peace of mind during an already difficult time.
A background built around education and service
Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, Sippie grew up in Northwest Ohio. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Spanish from Wright State University, followed by a Master of Education from Wright State and a Master of Arts in English from the University of Texas at Tyler. She later earned her Juris Doctor from Ohio Northern University’s Pettit College of Law. Before beginning her legal career, Sippie spent seven years teaching English in Nevada and Ohio.
Her legal experience includes representing clients through the Ohio Northern University Legal Clinic in domestic relations, probate, and child-custody matters, followed by corporate legal experience with J.P. Morgan Chase Bank. She now serves clients through Eques Law Group in estate planning, family law, business law, and real-property matters.
